This Policy covers the Plant and Machinery used in Projects against sudden accidental external damage due to any cause other than excluded perils. The machinery is covered whilst they are in operation or at rest. However, Electrical or mechanical breakdown, loss or damage to replaceable parts, wear and tear, loss during transit or testing and loss for which the manufacturer or supplier is responsible are some of the exclusions.

The Policy can be extended to cover third party liability – personal injury and property damage, Clearance and Removal of Debris, Overtime, Express Freight and damage to insured’s surrounding property. The policy can be taken by the owner of the machine, the contractor or user or by the Financing Institution either jointly or severally.
