Responsibilities

  • Support the underwriting team to assess risks and determine the coverage position
  • Provide preliminary evaluations to the underwriting team on new business opportunities and renewals
  • First point of contact for assigned clients and intermediaries in service delivery
  • Manage daily operations in the underwriting department
  • Co-ordinate with the underwriting team and intermediaries to identify potential business opportunities

Requirements

  • Degree holder
  • Fresh or recent graduates without any relevant experience are also welcome to apply; ideally they should be from the discipline of Management/Business Studies, Accountancy, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Economics or other numerical disciplines
  • Diploma holders with relevant underwriting/underwriting support experience will also be considered
  • Relevant SCI certifications are mandatory; where needed, we will provide the necessary sponsorship to the final candidate(s)
  • The actual job title/level and business line assignment offered to the final candidate(s) will depend on their experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Good time management
  • Team player
