Before you begin your motor insurance claim, make sure you have the following ready

Personal & Policy Information

  • Your insurance policy number
  • Your full name and contact details

Vehicle Details

  • Vehicle registration number
  • Make and model of your car

Accident Information

  • Date and time of the incident
  • Location of the accident
  • Brief description of what happened

Supporting Documents

  • Photos of the damage (vehicle, property, or injuries if applicable)
  • CCTV footage
  • Police report (if required)
  • Repair invoices or workshop estimates

Additional Notes

Non Motor Claims

Work Injury Compensation

When an employee meets with an accident at the workplace or contracts an occupational disease you should:

  • Submit an incident report (i-Report) to the Ministry of Manpower in accordance with the Work Injury Compensation Act and within the time limits set out by legislation.   • Submit a copy of the i-Report together with our claim form to MS First Capital Insurance Limited. This should be done within 10 days of the accident. Also gather in and submit copies of the following basic documents for our claims team to expedite their assessment of the claim.

  • Medical bills and medical certificates
  • Inpatient Discharge Summary (if the employee was hospitalised)
  • Doctor’s memo (for outpatient medical treatment)
  • A&E discharge summary (if there was an A&E visit)
  • MRI report, x-ray report or laboratory test reports (if any)
  • Injured person’s work permit (for foreign workers) / NRIC (for Singaporean/PR)
  • Salary slips for the 12 months prior to the date of accident
  • Death Certificate (if applicable)
  • A copy of the traffic police report lodged by the injured person (if applicable)
  • Internal investigation reports and witness statements (if any)

Should an injured worker or dependant of the deceased worker file a claim against you under Common Law:

  • do not admit liability, settle or negotiate settlement without our prior approval
  • forward to us immediately any letter of demands, offers of amicable resolution or court documents.
